Hiking Trail For Smokers
Hiking trail is an awesome activity. It places you outdoors in nature. If you are going alone or with friends it will be a unique experience for everybody. When you smoke your lungs are taking damage, and that is a fact.
You may not like it but this is how thing stand. But you can do something about that. One of the best activity that you can do is go for a walk. What better than to walk in nature. You are taking care of your health, and experiencing something new.
Next question that you probably asking is where to go? To answer that it would take eternity since go anywhere in the States or anywhere in the world.
But to make you some easy decision I will post some of the mines favorite hiking trails. These are:
- Long Trail Vermont
- John Muir Trail, Sierra Nevada Mountains – Yosemite Valley, California
- Snowmass Wilderness, Maroon Bells – Aspen, Colorado
- Pacific Crest Trail, California, Oregon, and Washington
- West Maroon Creek Trail – Colorado
- Mt. Tammany – Worthington State Forest, N.J.
- Appalachian Trail – Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine
So let’s get started.
#1 Hiking – Long Trail Vermont
This hiking trail is the oldest trail in the States. It expands from Mascccusets to Canada. The trail is 272 miles in length. The best time to visit this route is between June and mid-October. This path is very rocky and muddy so be prepared for that. It can be difficult for the first timers but you don;t need to go all the way. You should bring a map with you., one of the best that I would recommend is Vermont’s Long Trail Map.
#2 Hiking Trail – John Muir Trail, Sierra Nevada Mountains – Yosemite Valley, California
This route is the very long hiking trail. It stretches from Sierra Nevada mountain range to Yosemite King Canyon. It is named after famous naturalist John Muir. Official length is 210.4 miles. On this trail, you will see America’s nature in its full glory. It will mark you forever.
#3 Snowmass Wilderness, Maroon Bells – Aspen, Colorado
Ranging over 175 miles and over 12,000 feet this vast region lie above the tree line and long glacial valleys. There is numerous trail to follow. I recommend that you start with Maroon Bells that is located near Aspen. Its length is 25.2 miles. It is considerate moderate so with little difficulty, you can conquer it. Best time to visit is between April and October. If you need extra guidelines I recommend that you read this book.
#4 Pacific Crest Trail, California, Oregon, and Washington
Pacific Crest Trail is one of the longest trails in the United States. Length is 2.650 miles. Yeah, that right. You read it correctly. most hikers start on Mexican Border in April and finish in October. Your reward is going to seven national parks and a continent’s worth of national forests, state parks, and wilderness areas.
#5 West Maroon Creek Trail – Colorado
First of all this hiking trail is 10 miles long. As a result of its short length, it is an awesome hiking trail. It follows a lush glacial valley before heading up and over the breathtaking 12,480-foot Maroon Pass. Best time to visit is June.
#6 Mt. Tammany – Worthington State Forest, N.J.
This steep trail is also short in length but highly strenuous. Because steepens it is considered very hard for the first timers. This is very popular hiking tour in the New Jersey. In addition, it has a phenomenal view, worth extra effort. You can come in any season you won’t be disappointed.
#7 Appalachian Trail – Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine
Also known by the synonym A.T trail it’s placed in the eastern United States. This one is enormous, length is about 2.200 miles. The majority of the trail is through wilderness even thou passes farms and towns. A.T is considered longest hiking trail in the world.
